A³ Program Overview
The A³ (Arts, Academics, Athletics) Youth Program is designed to assist participants, ages 5 to 17 in their academic studies and allow them access to cultural enrichment activities such as music, visual arts, and literary arts projects. The A³ program will interface with local and state school curriculum guidelines to ensure that after school enrichment activities reinforce standards being taught in core academia as well as performing arts electives.
A³ program hours:
Monday through Friday: 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
School holidays and plannings days: 8:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.
Early release days: 12:30 p.m - 6:30 p.m.

Our academic tutoring and homework assistance programs are supported by certified teachers and college interns. We utilize educational standards set forth by the Duval County School System. UCCY educational staff keeps an open dialogue with the teachers of participating youth to stay abreast of their specific needs in academic support, special projects, or assignments.

The A3 Program provides team and individual sports that give youth an opportunity to stay healthy and avoid obesity, while building social skills through competitive fair play. We are able to expand our athletic capacity through collaborations with other fitness and sport organizations in the Jacksonville area. Our participants build self esteem and hone their athletic skills in lifestyle and competive sports that they can utilize for the future.

The A³ Performing Arts Initiative engages participants in music, visual, and spoken word/poetry, social grace/cultural projects. Youth participating in these modules are introduced to many facets of cultural arts and the entertainment industry. Our youth receive first hand experience in performance, production, musical composition, lyrical composition, dance, modeling, public speaking, and promotions.
